I love the 4th of July because I get to:
- Celebrate the greatest country in the world
- Remember the faithfulness of God to build our nation
- Honor the courageous men who put their lives on the line by signing their names on a sheet of parchment
- Commemorate our independence from Great Britain
- Memorialize the sacrifices for my freedoms
- Fly my flag proudly
- Pay tribute to our current soldiers standing watch to protect the dream
- Ooh and aah over fireworks that burst and fill me with wonder, reminding me of the circumstances surrounding the penning of our national anthem
- Praise God for setting me free
O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed His grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
