America – the home of baseball, apple pie, and crazy roadside attractions. Only along the highways of the United States can you see rattlesnake ranches, gargantuan plastic dinosaurs, and museums to people unknown to its citizens. I have witnessed a plethora of these homeland treasures.

Growing up I loved family vacations. Cruising down the road with my family from my backseat perch, hair blowing in the wind, and playing travel games with my sister or reading my favorite book. Those trips were always a special bonding time for our family. My eyes would continually search roadside signs to alert my dad to any upcoming unique adventures.

We perused many amazing sites. Everyone should experience:

the world’s largest ball of twine

the tallest bottle of catsup

or the lady leg sundial

As I traveled to Arkansas this past week, I laughed as I read humorous billboards and kept my eyes peeled for anything unusual along roadside America.

There's nothing like it.
